~Bring On Heaven~

Sipping my tea with you as Father and I write...

I've been reading a fantastic God-inspired book... I just completed it and wish I hadn't as I enjoyed learning from this book and wish it would continue on...some books are like that.

This book helped me to see who I am in God and introduced some interesting "takes" on church leadership. I am not here to do a book report (smiles).

One thing I took away from this book is that we need to bring heaven to earth. Does that sound a bit odd? Perhaps it does...but I will explain.

I assume that most of you who read the inspirational part of my blog are church-goers. I hope that you are also Jesus followers. As a Jesus follower, how do you "do" church? Do you attend to get fed by the pastor...sing along with the worship songs...pray along with whomever prays in the service...learn some basics in the sermon that maybe really hit home...enjoy the fellowship time as this is typically the only time you see some of your church friends...in basic churching (I create words) you understand that we are taught not to sin...taught to love others first as we love Jesus...churching is basically knowing the basics of the bible...we tell others how to live as a Jesus follower.

Is THAT the purpose of being a Jesus follower? Living what we are taught? Of course we are to live as the Bible teaches. But what does it teach? To stay in the confines of our church building...learning...praying...socializing...singing?...I think not. We are to bring on heaven. We are to get out of our comfort zone and forgo teachings if we are to bring on heaven. I don't mean that we let go of what we are taught but in order to really love on people we need to bring heaven to them.

How do we go about this? First and foremost we need to stay in the Word...truly know and study the Bible. We need a relationship with Jesus. We need to be "prayed up"...continual conversations with Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

We know how to stay in the Word. We understand keeping a relationship with Jesus. How do we need to be "prayed up"? In your time with the Three, we need to acknowledge that Father is our creator...our authority figure. Jesus is our friend, companion, Messiah...One in whom we can talk with and confide in. The Holy Spirit is our guide, counselor, comforter Who permeates our whole being. We can talk to Him asking Him to guide our words and actions...wanting all that comes from us to be pleasing to Father.

How do we bring on heaven? Having met with all Three we talk to Them about how we will bring heaven to others as we go about our daily life...to open our eyes to people who seem to be having a rough day...listening to a friend who is going through a hard time...noticing that lonely person and sharing a word of hope or giving them some of your time...really taking time to focus on people. Isn't that what Jesus did with His time here on earth? He was so in tune with people that he even noticed when a lady touched the hem of His garment. To bring on heaven was  the purpose of the life of Jesus. He brought heaven to earth. Yes He taught. He instructed as to how we are to live. Bringing on heaven was His ultimate intention...to show people through His actions what heaven is about.

If we are "the Church", we need to step outside of simply teaching and reach out. People won't be drawn to a group of people who stay inside the building learning...praying...socializing...singing....they will be drawn to heaven being brought to them.

My hope is that you read this...soak it in...and bring on heaven to people in your community or yes friends who need a touch of heaven. Talk to the Three about how you can do this. We are each unique and will have our way through the Three to bring on heaven to others.

Blessings!
